Eat pasta, carbe diem.

Welcome to The Rigaytoni — what began as a few (too many) Instagram stories from a pasta-obsessed home cook, finally turned food blog and collection of recipes.

Meet The Rigaytoni

Ironically enough, food hasn’t always been my thing.

As a young kid, I was arguably the world’s pickiest eater — you could count on one hand what my parents could get me to eat. At the top of that short list? Pasta. Well, at first, pasta with butter and grated cheese.

As I grew up, so did my palette, and I quickly embraced the culinary traditions of my Italian-American family. I spent countless evenings after school and holidays in my Nana’s kitchen, absorbing recipes surrounded in the aromatic magic of garlic & onions sizzling in olive oil. I spent just as many summers on Cape Cod with my late father by his grill, learning and laughing and entertaining.

Fast forward to today, my connection to cooking (and pasta) is stronger than ever. My inspiration remains my Italian heritage and coastal New England roots, tailored ever-so-slightly by my personal (see also: “extra”) flair. Years of practice have made passion — and years of Instagrams and dinner parties have now created a collective cry from friends to share my recipes.

‘The Rigaytoni’ is the materialization of what I truly love to do most — sharing food, wine & good times with those around me. Thank you endlessly for following my journey, and for letting me share it with you.

Peace, Love & Pasta,

Nick
